Welcome to Sloths With Latitude – a blog for adventurous, budget-conscious travellers!

We are a young couple from the UK, sharing our love of travel with the world. Whilst we definitely enjoy the occasional ~~week~~ few days spent lounging on a beach with a cocktail in hand (a holiday style that likely earned Mia her ‘sloth’ nickname), our true passion lies in immersive travel. We love diving into the heart of a destination: its culture, nature, and unique experiences.

Besides that, cutting corners and not travelling in the most luxurious of styles makes our travel more budget-friendly, a consideration we have to take into account as young adults not trying to add to our uni debt…

This blog is for like-minded travelers who crave adventure over extravagance. We aim to provide honest, transparent travel content based on real experiences, including the good, the bad, and the ugly. Whether you’re planning a gap year, a short trip, or a big adventure, we hope our detailed itineraries and destination tips will help you uncover hidden gems and travel more adventurously 🙂 .

And the ‘sloth’ nickname? That was coined by Max’s dad, who insists it perfectly sums up our personalities, especially after witnessing the aftermath of our travels. While we might not fully agree with him, we’ve grown to embrace it. After all, we do love sloths: laid-back, curious, and always up for adventure. Sounds a little like us, really :).

Loves animals: can often be found trying to work out the best way to pet a cat or dog without getting bitten or scratched (rabies jab is an essential). A personal highlight was saving baby turtles off the road in Oman!!

Loves food: is well-known to have a bottomless pit for a stomach. A theory that was well and truly proven in Egypt, 5 courses for breakfast is no stress at all
